Young plants grown indoors need time to adjust to sun, wind and cooler nights.
Hardening off
- About a week or two before planting, set seedlings outside in shade for an hour or two
- Gradually increase their time outdoors and sun each day
- Bring them in on cold nights
- Plant out after your last frost on a cloudy day or in the evening
- Water well after planting
